The Church We're Hoping to Start in the
Carnes Crossroads Area
- Will feature biblical preaching that applies God's Word to life.
- Will be noted for beautiful and reverent worship that is also joyful and dynamic.
- Will be committed to discipleship of those within and outreach to those outside in keeping with Christ's Great Commission:
And Jesus came and said to them, “All authority in heaven and on earth hasbeen given to me. Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.” -- St. Matthew 28:18-20 ESV
- Will emphasize both Word (preaching and teaching) and Table (Holy Communion) to the exclusion and neglect of neither: “And they devoted themselves to the apostles' teaching and fellowship, to the breaking of bread, and the prayers.” Acts 2:42 ESV
- Will equip believers to “do ministry” as God has gifted and led them.
- Will minister to people at all stages of life's journey and all members of the family.
- Will seek affiliation with the American Anglican Council and the Anglican Communion Network shortly following organization.
